Bringing Light to Shadows will educate, inspire and reduce stigma around the mental illnesses that underlie common compulsive, maladaptive behaviors such as anorexia & bulimia & body image; sexual behaviors; gambling; alcohol & substance abuse; and more. Attendees will leave energized, hopeful and confident in their abilities and knowledge to help others. Tours of the Upper Room Recovery Community, a ministry of First United Methodist Church, will be provided after the event.
